I read Bill’s new memoir, “Snow Blind,” in preparation for our interview last week, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Going blind has long been one of my deepest fears, in part because of how much I love to read. Bill’s depiction of learning to read Braille at age 41 was sobering.
